  【New Service Launch】“Samurai Battle Movie Experience” Begins in Arashiyama, Kyoto!

  – Step into the world of the Samurai, clad in authentic armor –

  Kyoto-based SHOGUN STUDIO JAPAN, known for its authentic samurai armor experience in Arashiyama, is launching a brand-new service this October 2025: the “Samurai Battle Movie Experience”.

  Participants can wear genuine samurai armor and enjoy both a commemorative photo shoot at iconic Arashiyama spots and an immersive battle movie filming deep in the mountains, using swords, spears, and bows.

  Experience Arashiyama in Full Samurai Style

  After changing into armor at the studio, guests will board a private van and begin their “Samurai Shooting Tour.”

  【New Service Launch】“SHOGUN WALKER” – Stroll through Kyoto’s Arashiyama in Authentic Samurai Armor!

  

  A brand-new interactive experience is coming to the ancient capital of Kyoto. Starting Thursday, October 2, 2025, we are launching “SHOGUN WALKER”, a new service where you can rent authentic samurai armor and stroll through the scenic streets of Arashiyama. With the authentic look and presence of real armor, yet redesigned to be lightweight and easy to move in, this service allows visitors to enjoy a unique “moment as a samurai” that ordinary sightseeing cannot offer.

  Professional staff will carefully assist you in wearing the armor, after which you can step out into the scenic landscapes of Arashiyama fully dressed as a samurai. Each rental session lasts 90 minutes, giving you the freedom to stroll through iconic spots such as Togetsukyo Bridge and the Bamboo Grove while capturing memorable photos. Please note that entering shops or using public transportation while in armor is not permitted—this service is strictly for outdoor use. This ensures a safe, immersive, and unforgettable experience where you become one with the surrounding scenery.

  The highlight of the service is the early morning rental starting from 6:00 AM. In the quiet calm of dawn, you can stand on Togetsukyo Bridge in full samurai attire, welcoming the rising sun—a once-in-a-lifetime experience unique to this service. Bathed in the gentle morning light, the glimmer of armor makes for breathtaking photographs and an unforgettable travel memory.
