1. Armor
Choose Your Warrior Style
At our studio, we offer a collection of over 20 authentic samurai armors. Around 10 sets are permanently displayed inside the studio, and the lineup changes monthly, allowing you to discover different armors each time you visit. The armor you will wear is not antique, but newly crafted modern armor made with exceptional quality and attention to detail. Each piece is beautifully maintained, featuring vivid decorations, impressive craftsmanship, and a powerful presence that looks stunning in photographs. Clean, comfortable, and highly photogenic, the armor is suitable even for first-time guests. Each armor weighs approximately 15–20 kg (33–44 lbs), allowing you to truly experience the weight and presence once carried by real samurai warriors during the Sengoku period. It is a unique “real samurai” experience that cannot be understood through appearance alone. In addition, our studio also offers armor created by Marutake Armor, whose works have been used in films, television dramas, and other productions. With their overwhelming realism and commanding presence, you can enjoy a truly immersive experience that feels as if you have stepped back into the age of the samurai. Choose the armor of your favorite shogun or samurai warrior and enjoy an unforgettable photo experience. If you have trouble deciding, we encourage you to choose by inspiration — the encounter with that one special armor may become part of the memory itself.
2. Kimono
Choose Your Kimono
At our studio, the kimono we offer are not the mass-produced printed garments commonly used in standard tourist rental shops. Instead, we exclusively feature authentic works created by female kimono artists active in Kyoto. Using traditional Japanese techniques such as Kyo Tegaki Yuzen hand-painting, sumi ink dyeing, and katazome stencil dyeing, each kimono possesses its own unique expression and presence — like a wearable work of art. The delicate colors and intricate patterns created through true artisan craftsmanship produce an extraordinary visual impact in both photography and film, creating a truly special atmosphere. In addition, our collection includes many luxury kimono valued between ¥800,000 and ¥2,000,000. These rare designer pieces are normally only seen at exhibitions or special occasions, yet at our studio you can actually wear them and enjoy a professional photo experience. With a strong desire for guests to experience “real kimono,” we have carefully selected every piece based on artistry, quality, and expressive beauty. Discover your own special kimono while experiencing the refined aesthetics of Kyoto and the profound depth of Japanese culture.
3. Studio Shooting
Experience Samurai Armor at the Studio
Take Samurai Photos & Samurai Movies
At our studio, we offer an immersive photo and video shooting experience using authentic samurai armor and traditional weapons. More than just a souvenir photo session, we focus on capturing the true “world of the samurai,” creating cinematic works that convey the dignity, intensity, and presence of a real warrior. During the shoot, we use professional lighting and strobes to produce dramatic scenes reminiscent of a movie. In addition, a fog machine (optional) can be used to create even more atmospheric and visually striking effects. Guests may also use not only swords, but optional traditional weapons such as spears and bows. Our staff will carefully guide you on how to pose and handle each weapon, so even first-time participants can enjoy the experience with confidence. We also offer an optional 60-second short movie created from your shooting footage. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience in Kyoto that feels as though you have stepped back into the Sengoku era.
Photo Shoot in Samurai Armor & Kimono
In addition to samurai armor, photo shoots combining traditional Japanese kimono are also extremely popular. By capturing both the powerful presence of a samurai warrior and the elegance of authentic Japanese attire together, you can create a truly unique and immersive Japanese atmosphere. The kimono used in our shoots are not ordinary printed rental garments, but special works created by female kimono artists active in Kyoto. Guests can wear luxurious kimono crafted using traditional techniques such as hand-painted Kyo Yuzen and sumi ink dyeing, with each piece expressing the craftsmanship and artistic vision of its creator. These sessions are especially recommended for families, couples, and groups of friends, allowing you to create memorable scenes reminiscent of a Sengoku warlord and princess, or even a cinematic moment from a movie. Our staff carefully assists with the dressing process, so even first-time guests can participate comfortably and with confidence. Experience the authentic beauty of Kyoto’s traditional clothing and the world of the samurai as a truly unforgettable memory.
4. Location Shooting

BATTLE SHOOTING PLAN
Enjoy an authentic samurai photo shooting experience at our outdoor battlefield location hidden deep in the mountains. Surrounded by dense forest and a traditional shrine, the setting offers an extraordinary atmosphere that feels as if you have stepped directly into a samurai movie. Before the shoot, our staff will carefully teach you how to handle the sword, perform basic samurai action movements, and pose in ways that look dynamic and cinematic on camera, so even first-time participants can join with confidence. During the experience, friends and family members can split into opposing sides and create their own authentic samurai movie together! Solo participants are also very welcome — our staff can even play the enemy role and help create exciting action scenes and dramatic sword fights. The experience lasts approximately one hour, and guests can use traditional weapons such as swords and bows while enjoying the feeling of becoming the hero of a historical Japanese drama. It is a truly unique experience and an unforgettable memory unlike anything you would normally encounter. KIMONO & ARMOR SHOOTING PLAN
For this special shooting experience, we use beautiful hand-painted Kyo Yuzen furisode created by a female Yuzen dyeing artist active in Kyoto’s Arashiyama area. Each kimono is carefully dyed by hand using traditional techniques, featuring delicate colors and elegant designs that give the garment the presence of a true work of art. The refined beauty and sophistication unique to traditional Kyo Yuzen add an extraordinary sense of luxury and authenticity to your photo session. The temple used for this experience is also a special studio-exclusive location, normally reserved only for television and professional media productions. Unlike ordinary public photo plans, guests are able to enjoy shooting in a peaceful and private atmosphere rarely accessible to the public. Inside the temple grounds, beautiful bamboo groves extend into the scenery, while the natural landscapes of Arashiyama create a breathtaking borrowed backdrop. During the autumn season, vibrant red and golden leaves surround the temple, yet the location remains incredibly quiet and serene — completely separated from the crowds of the Arashiyama tourist district. The sound of bamboo swaying in the wind and the tranquil atmosphere create a cinematic experience unlike anywhere else. Another unique highlight of this plan is the opportunity to experience two of Japan’s most iconic cultural traditions at the same time: “Samurai” and “Kimono.” The powerful appearance of samurai armor combined with the elegance of authentic Kyo Yuzen creates a truly unforgettable visual contrast, allowing guests to deeply experience the beauty and spirit of Japanese culture. More than sightseeing, this is an opportunity to encounter the true essence of Kyoto through a luxurious and exclusive photo experience.
