First, choose one sightseeing spot from three iconic locations in Arashiyama. Since you’ve come all the way to Arashiyama, let’s take some memorable photos with samurai armor!

*During the peak season (Nov 1–15 and Mar 1–Apr 15), the Bamboo Grove is not available for use.
After your commemorative photo session, it’s time to head to the filming location!
@Battlefield
Your next stop is a real battlefield deep in the mountains. Before filming begins, our staff will carefully guide you on how to handle the sword and perform your scenes safely — so don’t worry, even beginners are welcome! With your friends or family, you can take on the roles of enemies and allies, and create your own Samurai Movie! Of course, solo warriors are also welcome — our staff will play the enemy and perform an epic “defeat” scene for you ^^

Samurai Movie Mountain Summit Shoot Plan
Location: Shiga Prefecture
Duration: 5 hours

Set against the backdrop of the historic Sekigahara battlefield and overlooking Lake Biwa—where figures like Oda Nobunaga and Akechi Mitsuhide once made their mark—and with Mount Hiei and Kyoto lying beyond, this location is truly the heart of the Sengoku era.
We’ll travel in a studio-dedicated van at a relaxed pace (approx. 1.5 h each way) 🚗.
Once we arrive you’ll change into your samurai armour and begin the shoot! Don’t worry— we’ll pick a safe spot for the filming.
Wildlife may appear… but you’ll be safe in armour! (Just kidding. Your safety is our priority.)
After the shoot you can choose to be dropped off at our Kyoto studio or directly at your hotel.
Lunch isn’t included, but if you like we’ll recommend local favourites—like eel or soba🤤

Temple Photoshoot – Kyoto Yuzen Kimono × Samurai Armor Plan
Location : Rokuoin Temple, Arashiyama
Duration : Approx. 3 hours
Price : 120,000 yen
This special photoshoot features a Hand-Painted Kyoto Yuzen Furisode Kimono (valued at 1.9 million yen), created by a talented female Yuzen dyeing artist based in Arashiyama, Kyoto. The location, Rokuoin Temple, is normally not available for private photography except for media productions, making this a studio-exclusive plan. From the temple grounds, you can enjoy the borrowed scenery of Mt. Arashiyama and a serene bamboo grove — a tranquil world apart from the bustling crowds, even during the autumn foliage season.

1 kimono participant + up to 3 samurai armor participants
Short movie (highlight video)
20 carefully selected edited photos

Enjoy a 90-minute outdoor sightseeing tour of Arashiyama while wearing authentic samurai armor. There are a few simple rules to follow, but as long as you do, you’ll have a fun and unforgettable experience! Arashiyama offers many scenic spots such as Togetsukyo Bridge and the Bamboo Grove. Strike samurai poses, capture photos with your camera or smartphone, and create one-of-a-kind memories!
How it works:
Choose your armor at the studio (Navy or Red)
Our staff will dress you in the armor
Go outside and enjoy sightseeing!
Return to the studio, change, and finish
Included Equipment: Full suit of samurai armor
Rules:
The experience is limited to outdoors only.
Entry into restaurants, souvenir shops, and other stores is not allowed.
Public transportation cannot be used while wearing the armor.
Any damage will incur a fixed compensation fee.

2. If you're more than 10 minutes late, your reservation may be cancelled automatically, and your slot may be offered to walk-in guests. Please do your best to be on time! If you're running late, just give us a call—we’ll do our best to adjust your time.

Get Your Photos & Movie
If editing is completed on-site, data will be transferred to your smartphone immediately after the session.

FAQ
- Should I bring anything with me?
Since you’ll be wearing a kabuto (helmet), your hairstyle may get a bit messy—so it’s a good idea to bring a brush or comb. Also, don’t forget your camera or smartphone! Feel free to snap plenty of photos and videos to capture all the fun memories!
- Can you accommodate tour groups or large parties?
Definitely! We’d appreciate it if you could contact us in advance so we can discuss timing and arrangements. We’re happy to help you create some amazing memories!
- Do you offer service in foreign languages?
We have staff members who can speak English. For other languages, rest assured we’ll assist you using translation apps or similar tools.
